This is my promise on thee , sure,
I will open the eyes of the blinds
to reality and disclose to the world
the classic nature of our language...
We are blessed with Sri RaamaayaN
by our Saint Venkata SUri,
sounds so melodious
as the seven beautiful
notes of the music.
So huge like Himaalayaa, and
broadly spread like a banyan tree
it has been served, the Bhagavat giitaa
by our old scholar Padmanaabayyaa.
Like ever admiring smell in mullai flower,
the amazing full moon light, and as
the real treasure, we got Niitisambu
from our respectable doppe Raamaaray
No doubt in the sweetness of a ripe mango
but still more sweeter nectar is here, yes,
the sweet GOvinda kiirtans of our
Lord, koppaan Naayakin.
East and West and North and South
our Sangu Sriraam aarya
swam in our language sea
drowned deeply in and has brought
the very valuable pearls, Sridwins.

Now it is the time of younger
generation,though not they are scholars,
I know mother you will sure
enjoy their 'mazhalai' (lisp)!
